Creation Seeks to Fill the Void
Morality is not a construct of the divine. Good, evil. These concepts came into being when aspects of existence began being viewed through the eyes of The Created. Their knowledge of what came before them was limited so they sought to understand the vastness of creation and their place in it. It was a fascinating development. One that The Beings of Origin took great pleasure in observing.
Pleasure is an interesting beast. It can bathe its benefactor in its radiant joy. All other thought burns away and allows its host to bask in euphoria. All fires that burn, however, leave change in their wake. In some, the burning fires of pleasure left behind a clarifying sense of purpose. Bringing with it a desire to fill others with the same feelings that set them on their journey through existence. Others took a much different path.
When the fires of pleasure burned through them, it was fueled from their core. Leaving behind a blackened empty hole straight through the center of their being. Instead of a euphoric cleansing, they experienced a brief flight of exhilaration that was quickly replaced by a gnawing emptiness. They became unable to look outward to others. They could only look inward, to the void inside themselves. This void became their purpose. Constantly seeking to chase those feeling of Euphoria to fill the emptiness inside them. An all-consuming endeavor, but futile in its pursuits. It was this hunger from within that became their driving force. The hunger spread to others. As it spread its power over the created grew. The Creators of origin looked on in disbelief as the unthinkable happened. The hunger became aware.
